I don’t get to paint ghosts very often and decided to take this warband as a chance to try something a little different. Instead of painting the various weapons, layers of cloth and bone as separate colors, I chose to do a more monochromatic scheme, something a bit more ethereal and ghastly.
A few details across the models were painted in different colors. The roses on the Briar Queen and the warbands bases, and the light coming from the candle held by Varclav. I kept the candle within the green tones but went for a sickly yellow-green, which stands out nicely.
I really like how the group turned out, they’re a very unique looking warband that stands out from the rest of my Underworlds collection.
