Space Hulk: Genestealers
As you may recall, I recently painted up some Blood Angel Terminators, and to go along with them, I ‘m happy to present the Tyranid Genestealers.
As far as inspiration goes, I wanted to get the same look and feel as the box art. Something grim and dangerous, with inspiration from one of my favorite Xenos. I quickly stumbled upon this article on Bell of Lost Souls, and I had quickly got to work. To start, here’s the Broodlord.
He’s quite an intimidating beast, and I’m quite pleased with how he turned out, especially the contrast of glossy black carapace and pale fleshy areas. After the Broodlord, I got to work batch painting the other Genestealers.
After all these guys were finished, I got to work on the NOVA Tyranid Gargoyles. I’ve made very quick progress on them, and I hope to have photos to show soon. I’ve started getting into the habit of posting work in progress photos to my Facebook, so check that out for more updates.
I like your selection of colors here, as one would imagine the gene stealers would adapt their colors to hide in the space hulk better. The brood lord is especially nice!
