Painting Sisters of Battle Monastery Bases
Here’s a quick post sharing the recipe for painting the bases of my Sisters Of Battle. Note that I kept the models separate from the bases when painting and glued them on afterwards.
Start with a basecoat Rakarth Flesh, getting a nice even coat before moving on. Add a heavy stipple of Flayed One Flesh, and then a stipple of Flayed One Flesh/White Scar, about a 50/50 mix. Wash with Seraphim Sepia, and dab off random patches with a tissue. Don’t be too concerned with being too neat or precise, this should look random. Add Agrax Earthshade to any piles of rubble or debris on the bases. Finally, use watered down Mournfang Brown to add veins in a wavey pattern, but be sparing.
