Necrons Convergence of Dominion – Set two

The second Convergence of Dominion set I’ve painted up, this one for the large Necron army I’ve been painting over the past year and a bit.

As ever, I very much enjoyed painting the sea-green colour of the Blackstone. I also went for a more blue-black than the previous set, and added in some of the neon green I’ve used for the Necrons Gauss weaponry and other details, which really help the models pop.

The edge highlighting took a fair bit of time, not surprising how big the models are, but I also highlighted around all the runes on the surface of the stone and that took a while, especially since each obelisk has the same amount of detail on both sides. Very much worth the effort, however, as they look fantastic.

beautiful work. would you like to share the process and paints you used to paint those ? I am especially interested in rocky outer part and yours is the best one i have found so far. I would like mine to look similar (because i am not as good painter as you) 😀

Keep up the good work !

I’m pretty happy with them too, thanks! The general process was a basecoat of Incubi Darkness, with a few drybrush/roughly blended layers of Kabalite Green and Sybarite Green, mixing them a bit as I worked, making the lightest area of the Blackstone next to the core. The opposite ends of the stone (furthest from the core) and the recesses were given a thinned down wash of Akhelian Green, finished off with a edge highlight of pure Sybarite Green. Hope this helps!
