Khârn the Betrayer

Kill! Maim! Burn!

This was a fantastic little project. Khârn was the first 40k Character I ever painted, and it was a blast coming back to them in the form of a shiny new model. Aggressive and full of violent momentum, it keeps the aesthetic of Khârn but gives him a more energetic pose. It’s not as iconic as his previous rendition, but I quite like this update.

A first for me, painting the Horus Heresy version of a character in 40k. I’m a big fan of the Heresy series, both from Black Library and Forge World, but I’ve yet to really get into the modelling aspect of it due to the painful price tag associated with it. Hopefully that changes with the rumours of a new heresy box set, but we will see.
