Genestealer Cult Neophyte Hybrids

The Core of the Genestealer Cults forces are the Neophyte Hybrids. The Deathwatch Overkill set contains 14 Hybrids of various generations, armed with Autoguns and a couple Grenade Launchers for good measure.

This kit really helps sell the idea of the Genestealer Cult as an underground movement, as its members are armed with mining equipment instead of proper military armour you’d find in the Imperial Guard, although some Cults are able to infiltrate its ranks too. I really like the variety of the kit too, with some members being 3rd or 4th generation Hybrids, sporting a variety of mutations.

As usual, I wanted to represent a variety of skin tones when painting a group of humans. (Human adjacent, in this case) This helps make each model a bit more distinct, as it’s doubtful every member would look exactly the same, and to hint at the Cults reach, drawing people in from different communities and areas of their world.
